Armando Moreno Obituary

Moreno, Armando
There comes a time in death to cherish life, and that time has come for us to celebrate the life of Prof. Armando Moreno who has departed on the journey of another kind of April 4th 2005 and left us all in awe and surprised. Armando was a being of enormous power of love and left his disciples all over the world to follow in his path. He praised the peace yet did not mind fighting the war to get to it, knowing that justice ultimately always prevails and overcomes the evil and sometimes needs human help. He was a righteous person with pool of compassion that has driven him to get out of fascist prison and participation in saving 150 Jewish children in the small town of Nonantola (Italy) in 1942-1943 and with help of Don Baccari of Nonantola. He fought with French Italian and Yugoslav resistance to ensure that not only him but also the rest of the world with its children can be free. Life after that he dedicated to his family and FIDOF (International Federation of Festival Organizations), and organization that he founded forty years ago and whose official aim was "Strengthening of Peace and Friendship Through Music and Art." Armando has traveled the World making it a better place for all, knowing that it is a never-ending task. His impact has been felt on anyone that has crossed his path in life and now in death as well. He is a man of pride and integrity and power who died just the way he lived, on his feet. His life was turbulent, yet full and his legacy will go on through his children, Mario and Dolores; his grandchildren Hannah, Igor, Simon and Leo as well as through anyone that has ever met him. To say that he will be missed would not be right because he is with us as always. Services Friday 11:00 AM at Mount Sinai Memorial Parks & Mortuaries - Hollywood Hills (800)600-0076. Make your contributions to a charity of your choice regardless of religion, ethnicity or creed in celebration of life well lived.
