Armenag Levon Goganian Obituary
July 29, 1921 - January 1, 2016 It is with sorrow that we announce the demise of our dear father, brother-in-law, grandfather and uncle in the passing away January 1, 2016 of Armenag Levon Goganian. Armenag, 94, passed away peacefully in his sleep at the turn of the new year in Portland, Oregon. He was the loving husband of Aida Goganian (née Beylerian) who passed away July 2014. Armenag was born in Cairo, Egypt, and was educated at the Victoria College, Alexandria, Egypt. He soon joined his father's Metalworks company and was active in the manufacturing business throughout World War II. After the nationalization of his company in 1961, Armenag came to New York and brought his family (Aida and sons Levon & Achod) as soon as he was settled. He pursued his career as manager of an American Metalworks company and subsequently moved to Los Angeles where he purchased and operated the well-established Kasparians Furniture company. His two sons Levon and Achod joined him. Subsequently, son Achod moved to Portland, OR, and joined Intel. His parents joined him and resettled happily in Portland where they made their new home. Armeneg leaves behind his immediate family: Son Levon and his wife Jacke Rose, Son Achod and his wife Paige, his grandchildren; Aram and his wife Courtney, Aline, and Eudie; Seza Ouzounian - his Goddaughter and Aram & Aline's mother; niece Alice Ouzounian; nephew Levon Barzankian; and his brother-in-law George Beylerian and his wife Louise. Services will be held on Saturday, February 13 at 11:00am at St. Peter Armenian Church, 632 W Stocker St, Glendale, CA 91202. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Armenag's name to St. Peter Armenian Church.
