Arthur E. Hacker Obituary
Arthur E. Hacker of Claremont has died after a long illness. He grew up in Glenview, IL, graduated from Yale University with bachelor's and Master of Architecture degrees, and taught at the University of Houston and Cal Poly Pomona, retiring from Cal Poly as Professor Emeritus. He was active in the Claremont community, and enjoyed traveling extensively. Survived by his wife Kathy of Claremont, his sons Andrew (Lauren) of Phoenix and James of Sacramento, his sister Charlotte Lillquist of Clarendon Hills, IL and her family, and numerous cousins and friends. No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Claremont Heritage (claremontheritage.org or mail to Claremont Heritage, 840 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont, CA 91711) or to the Sierra Club (sierraclub.org).
