Audrey Debora Hobart Obituary
November 17, 1910 - July 9, 2015 On July 9th, Debbie Hobart, age 104, passed away peacefully at home. Born in Los Angeles, she spent early years in Bakersfield with her Mother, Mayme and her treasured Aunt Kit. She was close to her sisters, "Cootsie," who died at an early age, and Jerry, with whom she shared many happy times. In the early 1930s Debbie married George Landier, a musician; and traveled with him and the band across country. Her home base was then the Naples/Long Beach area where she had a son, Larry. George and Debbie later parted ways. Debbie trained as a beautician, and opened a small beauty salon in Burbank. Her success there led to a career in real estate where she also excelled. In 1959 she married her second husband, Harold Hobart. They moved to Debbie's beloved current neighborhood in the late 1970s where she was active in community concerns. She took pride in her wonderful garden, a reflection of her deep appreciation of nature. Debbie's warmth, humor, and intelligence were recognized by all. Debbie was preceded in death by her son and husband, Hal, many years ago. She is survived by her niece, Kathleen Garvin; great niece, Jennifer Martin; great nephew, Michael Clifton; Kaitlin Martin, Corbin Clifton, and other relatives.
