Barbara Lynne Rogo Obituary
June 21, 1937 - January 20, 2017 Barbara Lynne Rogo, who was born in New York on June 21, 1937, passed away on January 20, 2017, in Camarillo, California. In between, Barbara thrilled just to be in Manhattan; rooted for the Dodgers at Ebbets Field and Dodger Stadium; received the first-ever 100% score on a City of New York High School Regents' history exam; danced ballet on New York's stages; fell in love with and married Arthur Karlin; had two children (Beth and Andy); moved to Los Angeles; was divorced; started a business, fell in love again and married Louis Rogo; closed her business; moved to Ventura with Lou, where they successfully operated "Rogo Pools & Spas;" and lived on Hollywood Beach in Oxnard for many years. Barbara loved the arts, all sports (particularly the Dodgers and Vin Scully), gourmet food and drink, travel, hosting dinner parties (at which she was an unparalleled chef and hostess), and, most of all, her family and friends. Since her own funeral was the one party Barbara could not host, she was uninterested in having one. Instead, she asked that her ashes be scattered at sea. Her wish will be granted.
