Barbara (Kirsch) Tidus Obituary
Tidus, Barbara Kirsch June 20, 1928 – January 1, 2018 Barbara (Bobbie) Kirsch Tidus, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, great aunt and friend, passed away during the night on January 1, 2018. She was born in Bayonne, New Jersey to Norman and Martha Kirsch. She graduated from Temple University with a degree in Psychology, but her proudest accomplishment was her family. It was in Philadelphia she met the love of her life, David Tidus. They were married for almost 60 years. They had a great love of travel and explored the world as a couple and with the entire family including grandchildren. She would collect yarn from all over the world to knit into sweaters for her family. She was very active in the community serving as the vice president of the National Council of Jewish Women and as a docent for the Skirball Cultural Center. She was a voracious reader and loved going to the movies, belonging to clubs that fed those interests. Her passion for riding horses was shared with her son, Jeffrey, and granddaughters. She enjoyed cooking for her family and having them at her house for Passover, Thanksgiving, Hanukah and birthdays. She also loved spicy food and dark chocolate. Bobbie is survived by daughter Amy (Marc) Zeidler, son Michael (Carrie) Tidus, daughter-in-law Sheryl Tidus, grandchildren Ilana, Kaela, Noah and Hannah, and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband David and eldest son Jeffrey. Funeral Service to be held at Mount Sinai Memorial Park Thursday January 4, at 12:30.
