Beverly Ruth Wade Obituary
November 10, 1929 - July 17, 2017 Beverly Ruth Wade, born November 10, 1929; died July, 17, 2017. Beverly died peacefully in her sleep from natural causes on Monday, July 17. Beverly was the 3rd of 4 girls born to James R. and Matilda "Jane" Wade in St. Louis, Mo. Beverly attended the Ursuline Academy, an all girls Catholic high school, in Kirkland, Mo. Beverly excelled there in dance and was a drum majorette. After WWII Beverly relocated to Guam with her family, as her father was commissioned there by the US Navy. In the 1950s she moved with her family to Los Angeles, which remained home until her death. Beverly truly loved to travel, and was devoted to her family; thus, she incorporated both by taking her late niece, Marsha Langford, on many of her travels abroad. After retiring, Beverly became very active in her community, feeding the homeless through her church, every weekend, and volunteering at her local library. A victim of a lifelong illness, she none-the-less always displayed dignity, courage and an iron will. She was also known for her wonderful sense of humor, and her infectious laugh. She is survived by her nieces: Robin and Robert McLachlan of Sherman Oaks, Kelly and Ted Simmons of Santa Barbara, Karen and Lee Holston of Griffin, GA, Linda and John Crater of Placentia; nephews: James Langford of North Hollywood, William and Robert Kroger of Chicago, Thomas Bonokowski of Texas, and their families. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 6, at 11:00 am at the Valley Funeral Home in Burbank, CA.
