Bill Berk Obituary
Bill Berk (aka Nathan) died Saturday, 9/23/17, due to complications from a severe fall. He was just shy of 88 years old. Bill was born in 1929, grew up in Los Angeles, and graduated from Fairfax High School. Bill was a much loved husband, father, and grandfather. He will be sorely missed as the undeniable strong-willed patriarch of his family. His strengths of tenacity, fearlessness, and work ethic were combined with his deep caring to make him a driving influence on all he encountered. Bill not only inspired his friends and loved ones to always reach for greater heights, but he served as his own prime example of exceptional achievement, especially in the business world. Most notably, he was an extremely prosperous real estate developer; and earlier, he had worked his way up to own several large swimming pool construction companies, including Blue Haven Pools. He was a generous provider to many. The product of a broken home, Bill started with nothing. Yet, he worked hard constantly, persevered through all manner of difficulties, and reached a pinnacle of financial success that very few experience. Both his presence and his personality make Bill utterly irreplaceable. He was one of a kind.
