Billie Loit Fenton Obituary
Billie Loit Fenton will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and an exceptionally generous and caring person who took a sincere interest in everyone she met. Billie died Sunday, January 7, 2018, after a short illness. She was 83 years old. Billie enjoyed a 17-year career as a department assistant at The RAND Corp. in Santa Monica, where she made many friends. She was a lifelong activist in support of progressive causes. With her husband, the Rev. Fred Fenton, Billie participated in the 1965 Selma Civil Rights March and was an active and beloved member of St. Augustine By-The-Sea Episcopal Church in Santa Monica during her husband's 23-year tenure there. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, who lives in Seal Beach; three sons, David, James, and Mark; and three granddaughters, Perry, Sophia, and Stella. Donations in her memory may be made to Partners in Health, Billie and Fred's favorite charity. Services will be private.
