Blanka Yvon Jacques Obituary
October 9, 1930 - October 4, 2016 Blanka Yvon Jacques (nee Kudrnac) was born in Czechoslovakia (Czech Republic) on October 9th, 1930, to Jaromir Josef Kudrnac, and Bozena Fisher. In World War II, she was captured from her home in Prague, and held at Theresienstadt concentration camp. In 1948, when the Russians took over Prague, her family ran away to Switzerland, and then to Montreal, Canada. In 1950, Blanka met,and later married, Mansell Reginald Jacques, who was the love of her life for over 50 years. Together they moved from Montreal to California where they resided in Beverly Hills. Yvon worked as a successful Realtor for over 25 years, selling many homes and making many friends along the way. She was passionate about the Veterans, and all those who defended America and the ASPCA. One of her proudest days was when she became an American Citizen in 1974. After the death of her husband Reg, she eventually moved to Northridge, California so that she could spend more time with her family. Blanka Yvon is survived by her only child, Erica Jacques Crosby, son in law, William Crosby, Grandchildren Garrett (wife Sarah), Emily, Katrina Crosby, and Great Grandson, Jack William Crosby. Yvon was a wonderful mother, a doting grandmother and a caring friend to so many. Services will be held on October 15th, at 1:00 pm, at All Saints Church, Beverly Hills, CA. She will be missed.
