Bradley M. Burlingame Obituary
November 11, 1952 - December 8, 2015 Brad Burlingame, a long-time resident and civic leader in Los Angeles died on Tuesday, December 8. He was 63. The son of Charles F. and Patricia A. Burlingame, he was born in Lake Charles, LA. As a child, Burlingame lived all over the United States and England during his father's Air Force career. He graduated from Occidental College in Los Angeles, earning a B.A in International Relations. Brad was President & CEO of Visit West Hollywood, a position he held since 1997. He is the former chair of the California Travel Association and past president of the Destination Marketing Association of the West. He served on numerous boards both in and out of the tourism industry and mentored countless young people throughout his career. He was a beloved family member, friend and colleague. Brad was a lifelong Angels baseball fan. He is survived by his wife, Diane, his daughters, Juliana and Lora, his brother, Mark W. Burlingame (Anine), his sister, Debra Burlingame (Robert) and five nephews and nieces. Brad's late brother, Charles F. "Chic" Burlingame, III, was killed on September 11, 2001, when the plane he was piloting was hijacked and crashed at the Pentagon. Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
