Of Vero Beach, FL died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at Indian River Memorial Hospital. He was born August 11, 1915 in Manhattan, NY and moved to Vero Beach three years ago from Los Angeles, CA. Buddy was a Theatrical Writer, a member of the Theatrical Writers Guild of America, Los Angeles, CA, the Friars Club, New York City, NY and Los Angeles, CA and Vista Meadows Golf and Country Club in Vero Beach, FL. He was a writer for such show business greats as: Milton Berle, Jackie Gleason, Johnathan Winters, Bob Hope and Dean Martin. Still active in show business, he was currently involved in the writing of a new theatrical production, "The Florida Follies". He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are wife of 35 years, Virginia Arnold of Vero Beach, FL; cousins, Herb and Ethel Arnold of Boston, MA, and Harriott Kashdan of Fort Lee, NJ; sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Jack McCarthy of Vero Beach, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice of Indian River County, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960 in memory of Buddy. Arrangements are under the direction of Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach, FL.
