Catherine (Kitty) Caleel Obituary

Catherine (Kitty) Rose Caleel
February 1, 1925 - January 22, 2011
Will something be left,
a tiny part,
To tell that once I gave my heart?
What is left at horizon's end,
Family, children, a lifetime friend?

Born in Deepwater, MO, Kitty resided in Burbank for 66 years.

Her passion was volunteering as a Girl Scout leader, Burbank Red Cross Disaster Relief chair, Burbank Civil Defense ground observer and counselor for LA County Consumer Protection Hotline. She leaves a legacy of kindness and commitment to helping others. Norm and Kitty were proud of the commercial property they developed including building the first McDonalds in Burbank.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Norman, and her daughter Leota Bancroft.

Kitty is survived by her beloved daughters Christy and Liz, sons-in-law, Craig, Paul and Dave and granddaughters, Tory and Maddie.

Kitty's family wishes to express their gratitude to her loving nurses, Benjamin Page, Liz Page, Joy Maquiling, Ellen Bandoy, Rose Cinco, Myrna Karpinski and Susam Jose.

Private services and interment were conducted.
