Charles Henry "Chuck" Waldman Obituary
November 27, 1929 - January 24, 2018 Charles Henry Waldman, affectionately known as "Chuck," passed away peacefully in Los Angeles. Born to Mark and Elenore Waldman in Jersey City, New Jersey, on November 27, 1929, Chuck moved with his family to Los Angeles at age 8. He graduated from from UCLA in 1951 with a BA in Political Science. He served in Korea on the front lines earning the title of Sergeant and several medals with an honorable discharge in December 1953. Prior to enlisting in the Fall of 1952, Charles married Vicki Gelmor Waldman. In 1956 Chuck and Vicki had a son Dean and in 1958, a daughter Lisa. Charles worked for Remington Rand where he became an award-winning salesman after which he launched the successful C.H. Waldman Office Equipment. Chuck also pursued a law degree, graduating from Loyola Law School and passing the California State Bar in June 27, 1975. Chuck had a love of learning and a broad range of knowledge from history and literature to music. His hobbies included traveling, swimming, and singing, and his favorite activity, going to the movies. Chuck loved all kinds of people and, as an employer, he was a role model for diversity in the work place. He was bigger than life, always on the go, and always with a smile on his face. He was preceded in his death by Vicki Gelmor Waldman and leaves behind son Dean Waldman, daughter Lisa Waldman, son-in-law James Stern, and granddaughter Maya Stern.
