Charles "Chuck" Horwitz

Obituary Condolences

October 1, 1926 - October 27, 2015 Chuck Horwitz passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love. Chuck was born in 1926 in Chicago. He and his twin brother, Herb served in the Navy at 17 and saw action in the Pacific during WW2. He moved to Los Angeles in 1950, where he and his brother built up a renowned retail outlet in Santa Monica. He gained many friends with his exceptionally quick sense of humor, which came so naturally to him…even at the end. Aside from his favorite pastime, poker, Chuck spent much of his time with his family whom he cherished greatly and placed above all else. He is survived by his sons Mike (Jan) and Mitchell Horwitz (Yoshiko) as well as his triplet grandchildren Jessica (Ryan), Adam, and Chad, all of whom he adored tremendously. He was also fortunate enough to have met his great granddaughter, Aubrey. He will be missed beyond words. Services will be held on Sunday Nov. 1 at Noon at Hillside Memorial Park, 6001 W Centinela Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90045.
