Chester Bloome Obituary
October 19, 1921 - December 26, 2017 A life lived...A life played out. Chet Bloome, a boy and man blessed with remarkable good looks, good manners, honesty and loyalty to all, left us shortly after midnight on Monday, December 26, 2017. He was born in Toronto, Canada, and at the age of 2 persuaded his parents, Judy & Cleo Bloome, to pack up for sunny Chicago. In 1948 the family, with brothers Marc, Jacques, and Ken, finally made it to Los Angeles. The older three were in the service during WWII and happily returned home. Chet found his calling in the insurance industry and started specializing in Group Health Insurance. On a blind date in 1955 he was introduced to Sandy Richman and after 4 weeks they were engaged, and married 3 months later in New York. They raised 3 children: Jeffrey (Lyndsay), Cathy Cherbosque, deceased 2015 (Jorge), and Deena Asher (Robin Roberts). From that issue there were 5 grandchildren: Carina, Tiana, Dezla, Joshua & Skye. Sandy & Chet worked tirelessly building the Third Party Administration firm known as "501 Insurance Marketing, Inc.", experiencing many highs & lows with great success and much hard work. With such a marriage spanning 62 years, it is hard to tear apart. That is the job the family, along with his beloved companion "Bogey," now faces, but there are no erasers large enough to do it. Rest well, my dearest love. You deserve it. I'll always be your Mrs. B. With heartfelt thanks to caregivers Joe Gonsalves, Maria Gutierrez, and Reliance Hospice. Funeral services at Eden Memorial Park, Mission Hills, CA, at 2 pm on Thursday, 12/28/17. Reception to follow.
