Chieko "Chicky" Armour Obituary
May 29, 1930 - January 1, 2017 Chieko Armour nee Ihara was born in Hawaii on the island of Maui and peacefully passed away in Redondo Beach, California at the age of 86. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Murayama, daughters, Carolyn (Ken) Saiki, Gayle (Jay) Miya, son, Guy Mito, grandchildren, Emily, Katie Miya and Justin Mito.Chieko lived most of her adult life in Southern California where she worked as a beautician. She had many private clients in the entertainment industry. She loved to do arts and craft projects, gardening, and traveling. She volunteered in the cooking ministry at church, attended bible study, was part of the senior ministry. She loved the Lord. She loved us. We miss her. Service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 at Venice Free Methodist Church 4871 Centinela Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90066. The family kindly requests casual attire/Hawaiian shirts. Her ashes will be taken back home to Paia, Maui
