Clarence Ray Ferguson Obituary
April 19, 1941 - August 24, 2016 Clarence Ray Ferguson passed away following a courageous battle with colon cancer on August 24, 2016. He was born on April 19, 1941 in Oklahoma City and moved to Southern California when he was 2. He attended Huntington Park High School where he was the captain of the football team and graduated in 1959. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of nearly 40 years, Wendy, and their blended family Robert (Tanisha, Brandon Robert, Brandon), Mark (Savanna, Maguire), Renee (Arthur, Brandy, Amber, Tyler), Jim (Jill, Jane, Jared, Jonathan), and Sandy (James). He is also survived by his siblings Larry, Sheila, and Michael. Clarence lived most of his adult life In Cerritos, California where he was employed in the aerospace industry and owned a landscaping company. He was devoted to his family and both he and Wendy spent countless hours coaching and watching their children's' soccer games and various other sports and activities. He and Wendy enjoyed many years and met many friends bowling in the Rancho League at Cerritos Lanes. They moved to Las Vegas 4 years ago where they enjoyed retirement in the warmer weather and a new community. Clarence took pride in his retirement home spending much time in his beautiful backyard and swimming laps and lounging in his pool. Clarence was a good man who worked hard all his life and dearly loved his family and friends. He will be missed. Services will be private.
