Cleo Belle Regan Obituary
May 5, 1928 - January 12, 2017 Cleo Belle Regan passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Chandler Convalescent Hospital in Glendale, Ca. after an 8-year struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 88. Born May 5, 1928 in Fontana, Ca. to Jennie (Wilber) and William Anderson, she was the 5th of 6 children. She was a straight 'A' student all through school. Cleo graduated from Belmont High in 1946, where she met the love of her life, Hap Regan, while riding the streetcar to school. After dating for 5 years, they were married August 5, 1949 in Los Angeles. They moved to Burbank, Ca. and raised a son, Michael and daughter, Janet. Cleo worked as an executive secretary to the president of Olga Company while still attending high school. Later, she was active in the Assistance League of Southern California and Native Daughters of the Golden West. Happily married for 67 years, Hap and Cleo enjoyed traveling, and often visited the national parks in the western U.S., went on short trips close to home and also traveled to Alaska, Hawaii, Europe, the Caribbean and the Panama Canal. She is survived by her husband Hap, son Mike, daughter Janet, her brother Jim, many nieces and nephews, and her longtime friend, Edie Bartlett. Cleo is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, many treasured friends and members of the Burbank Methodist Church. She was a soft-spoken, gentle woman with a caring, compassionate heart. A true "class act." She will be greatly missed. No public services are being held.
