David Wilstein Obituary
March 8, 1928 - July 9, 2017 David Wilstein, founder and president of Realtech Inc., passed away peacefully Sunday July 9, 2017. He was 89 years old. Realtech was one of Los Angeles' oldest real estate companies. David developed more than a 100 projects around the world during his illustrious career. Some of his most acclaimed development projects consist of landmarks located in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills . Along with his 14 story Roar Building on Wilshire Blvd at Roxbury Drive in Beverly Hills, his legacy includes the 25 story Wells Fargo Tower at Wilshire and San Vicente Blvd. in Brentwood, Maple Plaza in Beverly Hills and One Park Plaza , a 22 story high-rise office tower located in Korea Town. David was a visionary who had the foresight to develop one of the first high-rise buildings in Century City, The Century City Medical Plaza. The 2 complimentary buildings completed in 1969 were the first buildings to be entirely enclosed in a glass skin, a style that would become ubiquitous in office buildings for the next 20 years. Century City Medical Plaza is known for its architectural elegance and for being eco friendly decades before it was in vogue. His buildings won many architectural and building awards, to numerous to mention. In addition to Davids love for real estate development, he was also a passionate philanthropist active in numerous Los Angeles and international charities. He served on many boards of directors around the globe. David is survived by his loving wife Susan, daughter Dense Wilstein Margolin and her husband Stephen Margolin. He also leaves behind his brother Leonard and sister in law Joyce, sister and brother in law Gilda & Robert Marx. David is also survived by his nieces and nephews. David joins his other daughter Julie Pamela who passed away in 1980. He also leaves behind many cousins who remember him with adoring memories. He was laid to rest July 13,2017 at Hillside Memorial Park
