Dennis M. Sakson Obituary
January 27, 1932 - January 5, 2017 Denny died peacefully Thursday morning at Eisenhower Hospital after a long illness. A resident of Sun City Palm Desert, Denny leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Doralee; brothers-in-law Melvin Corren (wife Harriet) and Hillard Corren of Stockton, CA; son Jeffrey Sakson (husband Carlos) of Los Angeles, CA, daughters Leslie Magner (husband Michael) of Weston, CT and Randi Rosen (husband Kevin) of Coto de Caza, CA, and grandchildren Steven Magner (wife Sunny) of Beverly Hills, CA, and Julie Magner of Stamford, CT; Justin, Megan and Josh Rosen of Cota de Caza; nephews Howard Corren (wife Marti) of Denver, CO, Michael Corren (wife Denise) of Thousand Oaks, CA, Donald Corren (spouse Richard) of Rhinebeck, NY, and Merritt Corren of San Diego, CA, along with many other relatives and friends. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Denny served in the Air Force for two years before attending UCLA, where he met Doralee. After graduating, he sold housewares for 25 years but found his true calling as an apartment building landlord in Beverly Hills, becoming an expert at remodeling kitchens and bathrooms. He subsequently supervised the remodeling of his son's first two homes before retiring with his wife to the desert, where he never complained about the heat in the summer. Denny loved to read the papers every morning, watch sports on TV, go on cruises, eat food that he wasn't supposed to, and above all, his family. Funeral services will be held in Stockton, CA on Wednesday, January 11. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to a .
