Dianne D. De La Vega Obituary
October 30, 1930 - July 20, 2017 Dianne was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and moved to Mexico City where she married Jorge A. de la Vega. They had three children - Constance, Francisco Javier, and Alexandra. She moved to Los Angeles in 1975 and to Santa Monica in 1978 where she lived until her death. She lived with John Ridgley the last five years of her life. She attended Mexico City College (University of the Americas) where she received her BA in Dramatic Arts. She received an MA in Spanish Literature from Case Western University in Cleveland. Dianne obtained a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy in Los Angeles. After years of private practice, she returned to teaching in the Bilingual Education Program of the Los Angeles Unified School District for 15 years. Among her many interests were acting in musicals and singing in choirs. She is survived by her two daughters, three grandchildren (Chase, Alicia, and Casey) and great-granddaughter (Neka). We will celebrate her life on August 19.
