Donna Lee Kail Obituary
December 20, 1948 - February 10, 2016 Donna Kail passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer on February 10, 2016. During the last several weeks of Donna's life, an outpouring of love, affection, kindness, and words of comfort had a profound impact on her last days, showing her how many lives she touched and how deeply she was loved by so many. Donna was born in Santa Monica and grew up in Santa Monica and Westchester, California. She graduated from Westchester High School and attended Santa Monica College and Cal State Long Beach. She worked in the entertainment industry as a personal assistant for over 30 years where she met many people who became life long friends. She enjoyed traveling with friends and family, movies, concerts, theatre, loved all genres of music, was a shopper extraordinaire and recently became an avid Dodger fan. She was a devoted daughter, sister, niece, aunt, grand aunt and friend, never missing an event in their lives or an opportunity to reach out. She is survived by her mother, Mary Kail, sister Carol Kail Baer, brother-in-law Nick Baer, nephew Jeff Baer, grand niece Neva Baer, niece Amy Baer McCabe (Esmond), grand nephew Hunter McCabe and loving partner of 30 years, Howard Brown. She will be remembered and missed for her kindness, exuberance for life, laughter, incredible sense of style and devotion to family and friends. A celebration of life will be given by her family and friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to One Voice Santa Monica, St. John's Hospital, World Wildlife Fund, or the Wounded Warrior Project.
