Dorothy Kelly Valentine passed peacefully in Hollywood, Ca., on May 23, 2017. As a young lady, Dorothy moved from Yeadon, Pa., to N.Y.C. to work in radio. She then moved to St. Augustine, Fl., where she worked as a talk show host. From there she moved west to Hollywood where her vivacious personality and visionary nature earned her the pioneering title of first female casting director. During her illustrious 40-year career she cast such legends as Farrah Fawcett, Natalie Woods and Tom Selleck. She won numerous awards such as the prestigious Cody and Max awards. Dorothy was married for 50 years to the love of her life, actor Richard Valentine. She often reflected on her life as the ultimate adventure, filled with glamour, love and friendship. Dorothy was predeceased by her parents Don and Jesse Kelly and husband Richard Valentine.
