Drusilla Petersen Obituary
February 4, 1931 - July 16, 2017 Drusilla Alla Vhey Edgar Petersen Born February 4, 1931, she was the eldest of 5 children of Floyd L. Edgar and Mildred L. Reynolds. She was from the era, "If you need a helping hand, look down at the end of your sleeve there it will be!" Her sister Thelma passed from ALS; she is survived by her brothers Walt Edgar, George Edgar, Richard Edgar, and brother-in-law Edward Petersen. She married Ralph Joseph Petersen on June 21, 1952; they had 4 children: Tina (deceased), Cynthia & husband Charles, Craig (deceased), and Marilyn (deceased). They were married until his death on April 5, 2000. Ralph worked for Federal Mogul in sales and was transferred 10 times until Dru refused to move again, remaining in Anaheim, California. Dru worked at the Anaheim Union High School District Office from 1969 to 1994 in both the schools and administration. Dru was extremely hard working, organized, kind, athletic, loyal, stern, frugal, honest and very humorous. She will be best remembered by her humor and that little wink in the latter part of her life. Dru is survived by 7 grandchildren - Adam Portillo (Tina's son), Charles Lyons & Arianne O'Brien (Cynthia's son & daughter), Statira Petersen Cowell & Katie Petersen Kropko (Craig's daughters), and Natalie Jianuzzi Gatliff & Anthony Jianuzzi (Marilyn's daughter & son).
