Edward A. Moody

Obituary Condolences

April 5, 1950 - July 23, 2015 Edward 'Ed' Moody passed away peacefully in Port Huron, Michigan, after a long illness. Ed was born and raised in Grosse Pointe, MI then later moved to Pasadena, California where he lived for over 25 years. Ed's career in the banking and financial industry started at National Bank of Detroit (NBD). In 1985 Ed moved to California for an opportunity to join Western Asset Management as a portfolio manager for their national client base; Ed could often be heard saying "I'm the luckiest guy in the world to get to do what I do". He retired in 2011. Although he loved California, Detroit remained in his heart especially their sports teams - particularly the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. Since his retirement Ed split his time between Rancho Mirage and Port Huron. An avid golfer and an extraordinary man who till the end was filling the room with stories and past adventures. Ed was predeceased by his parents Doris A. and Lyman B. Moody and his sister Carolyn R. Moody. He is survived by the love of his life Michelle Eafanti, his sister Holly and son Brian, as well as his beloved nieces Kristin and Stephanie, and countless other family and friends. A celebration of life will be held in the fall.
