Edward Argow Obituary
August 1, 1928 - February 9, 2016 Edward Argow of Sherman Oaks, CA, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2016 at the age of 87. He attended Boys High School and City College of New York, where he participated in theater and played baseball for both, which led to a professional stint in the minor leagues. He eventually ditched sports for a less risky option and pursued advertising with great success. In his early 20s, he served as a US Marine during the Korean war, thankfully never engaging in battle, although he loves to tell everyone the scar on his neck was a battle wound. Known for his long career in radio ad sales and his management and part ownership of KFAC, his life-long friendships, his love of travel, golf, movies, live entertainment, music, and his family, Ed's passing will leave a lasting impression on all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Renee Argow; his four children, Peter Argow (Kris Kearney), Julie Levine (David Levine), Abbie Korman, Karen Argow (Robert Lucchese); his devoted step-daughters, Karen Gliner (Ray Gliner), Janice Senit (Steve Senit); and his twelve grandchildren, Annie Levine, Laura Levine, Michael Levine, Joe Kearney-Argow, Kasey Kearney-Argow, Henry Korman, Charlie Korman, Oliver Lucchese, Jarrett Gliner, Grant Gliner, Brooke Senit, and Evan Senit. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Sinai Hollywood Hills at 10:00am on Sunday, February 14. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the USC Norris Cancer Center in Ed's memory. The Great Ed Argow, aka Papa Eddie, will live forever in our hearts.
