Ellen S. Randall

Obituary Condolences

March 25, 1922 - June 26, 2015 Ellen Randall passed away peacefully, following a stroke, caused by a fall in her home. She was a young 93. Ellen grew up in Wisconsin, but lived most of her life in the Los Angeles area. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in music. She was a teacher, great dancer, singer, wife, mother, incredible home maker and sports enthusiast her entire life. In addition to all she accomplished, Ellen was a faithful volunteer at UCLA hospital for more than 50 years. Ellen was interested in everyone and everything, greeting each person, an old friend or a stranger with a huge smile and a warm hug. She and her husband, Bill, lived in Mammoth for many winters, regularly opening up their doors and preparing home cooked meals for the young ski patrollers. Ellen was generous to a fault, the first to pull out her credit card, send a thoughtful note or remember a birthday with a card. She was a true good Samaritan, the care giver when babies were born or when help was needed. Ellen now joins her husband, Bill, in heaven for all eternity, waiting patiently with open arms to welcome the rest of us. She is survived by her 3 loving daughters, Nancy, Susie and Patty, her extended family, 7 grand children and 6 great grand children. A celebration of Ellen's wonderful life will take place on Wednesday, July 8th at 11:00 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church located at 7390 W. Manchester Avenue Los Angeles, CA 90045. Anyone who knew and loved Ellen is welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, a tribute, in Ellen's memory to Catholic Charities, 1531 James M. Wood Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90015, would be greatly appreciated.
