Eugene Harris Obituary

February 23, 1932 - August 3, 2018 Eugene graduated Yale College, New York Medical College and completed his orthopaedic residency at USC. He was a pioneer in arthroscopy of the shoulder and practiced at Cedar Sinai for close to 60 years. He was loved by his wife (Miriam, deceased 2010), son Adam (Julie), grandchildren Evan and Samantha, in the last few years, his lady friend, Lillian Feldman, as well as many friends. He was admired and respected by colleagues, staff, and patients. With his intellect, wit, and expansive vocabulary, he was able to make people laugh while at the same time, addressing the issues at hand in a concise and insightful manner. He and his wife were also the most beautiful dancers not on film. In heaven, he hopefully is again playing tennis, dancing with Mimi, and doing the New York Times crossword puzzles. He will be missed dearly and remembered forever. Please consider donations to one (or more) of his favorite charities: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Simon Weisenthal Center, and American Friends of Magen David Adom.
