Obituary Condolences

Eugene Rothstein passed away peacefully on November 16, 2015. Born on October 29, 1933 in Racine, Wisconsin to Michael and Goldie Rothstein. Gene moved to California at the age of 6. In high school he met the love of his life, Iris Weinstein and they were married for over 63 years. He was a philanthropist, successful owner and operator of CalPacific furniture manufacturing, with designer showrooms nationwide. Gene served on the construction committee for the City of Hope, and served as President and Co-President of Founder's for Diabetic Research. A funny joke teller, fabulous sense of humor and lived life to the fullest, he will be truly missed. He was predeceased by sister's Ruth, Adelle and Clarice, and brother's Drs. Milton and Harry Roth. Gene is survived by his loving wife Iris, son Len (Maureen), daughter Cindie Gittelman (Michael), grandchildren Joshua (Romy), Jonathan, Danielle, Ryan, Rachell and Michael. Also survived by great grandchildren, Emma and Nathan, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Mount Sinai Memorial Park Cemetery, 5950 Forest Lawn Drive, Los Angeles, CA. Phone: 323-469-6000.
