Eva Maria Fallone Obituary
June 26, 1934 - March 12, 2017 Dr. Eva Maria Fallone, born in Berlin, Germany, peacefully passed away in Los Angeles, CA, at the age of 82 after a long struggle with dementia. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Sal in 1996. Both are interred at Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills. She received her undergraduate degree in Milan, returning to Berlin to work for the East German government. In 1961, the day the Berlin Wall was erected, Eva fled to West Berlin where she worked for the US Government and met her future husband Sal. Eva graduated from UCLA with a doctorate in Linguistics and taught at UCLA, UCI, and UCR. In 1976, Eva and Dr. Franz Heinrich Bäuml published "A Concordance to the Nibelungenlied," a reference book still utilized by universities and singers performing Wagner's "Der Ring des Nibelungen." Eva worked for Rocketdyne, Boeing, and the Aerospace Corporation. She donated her time to animal rescue and as a LACMA docent. Sal and Eva loved the arts and attending performances.
