Eva Sarah Lasensky Obituary
October 6, 1918 - June 8, 2017 Eva "Eve" Sarah Lasensky, age 98, passed away at home on Thursday, June 8th, following a brief illness. Eve was the 8th child of 9 born to Ida and Louis Dvorkin, on October 6, 1918 in Sioux City, Iowa. In 1935, Eve married Raymond Friedman. Together they had two children, Lisette Friedman Ackerberg and Linda Friedman Lerner. She later married Morrie Lasensky in Los Angeles. Eve was a dedicated volunteer for Century City Hospital and Project Chicken Soup. She was a member of Temple of the Arts Synagogue and an avid fan of the L.A. Lakers, attending as many home games as she could. Eve loved spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 3 sisters, daughter Linda, and husbands Ray and Morrie. She is survived by daughter, Lisette Ackerberg, grandchildren Bethany Reifler Studner, Bradley (Ashley) Reifler, and Kali Lerner (Elliott) Askew. Step-grandchildren, Lynn Ackerberg Golberstein, Stuart Ackerberg, 15 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Sunday, June 11 at 9:00am at Hillside Memorial Park, 6001 W. Centinela Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90045.
