In Law School she served as Notes and Articles Editor of the Southern California Law Review. At the time of her death she was retired from her practice of family law in Los Angeles. She insisted on enjoying her life in Malibu for over 40 years, hiking its mountains and relaxing on its beaches. She enjoyed voluminous reading, going to the opera, concerts at Disney Hall and travel with family and friends. Her ability to cook and entertain was unsurpassed and she prepared countless meals eaten overlooking the ocean by family and friends. She had a zest for life and was truly a renaissance woman. Mamu, as the kids called Pat especially loved spending weekends at her house with her grandchildren John Cole and Drake, who were the lights of her final twelve years as they spent every weekend with her in Malibu. She taught them to cook, to paint, to draw, and to enjoy reading next to her for hours, sitting in the living room overlooking the ocean. She is survived by her second husband, Robert Linde, her children daughter Heather Gail Mudie Olivier and her husband John Olivier, her son Jason Hunter Mudie, grandchildren John Cole and Drake Samuel Olivier, sister Joe Gail Uscenski and her husband Chet, her brother T. A private memorial for Pat was held at her home in Malibu on Thursday June 11, 2015. Donations may be made to the National Park Foundation in her name, as she was an avid hiker of the Santa Monica Mountains throughout her life.
