August 13, 1922 - March 31, 2016 Beloved local architect Frank Diederichs died recently at the age of 93. He lived and worked throughout Southern California most of his life. He loved traveling and making friends worldwide. Born in Columbus, Nebraska, he came to California in 1941 to work for Douglas Aircraft. After the war he and Tottie settled in Los Angeles and Frank studied at the Otis Art Institute. He ended up designing residences for clients who were both ordinary and famous, including many entertainment celebrities and business leaders. All clients became dear friends. Frank and his wife lived in Manhattan Beach and later Ventura County. Mr. Diederichs was preceded in death by his dear wife of 48 years, Katherine (Tottie); and his parents. He is survived by daughters Denise Diane (Dee Dee) Niblet of North Fork, CA, Doni Bastiani of Bass Lake, and son Dorn of Los Angeles; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, and his brother Robert of Roseville.
