Francis Gregory Lococo

1925 - 2016

April 17, 1925 - October 25, 2016 Frank G. Lococo peacefully passed October 25, 2016 at the age of 91. Born in the Third Ward of Milwaukee, WI to Rose and Joseph Lococo. Frank was the oldest of four sons. After graduating from Lincoln High School, Frank served in the US Army Air Corps stationed on the island of Espiriu Santo which was a part of the New Hebrides Archipelago during WWII, where he was active assisting Pappy Boyington and the 'Flying Tigers.' On his return, Frank married Mary Maggiore and later settled in California where he raised sons: Joe, Tony, Frank and Steve. He was a partner in the Cockatoo Inn, Hawthorne, CA. He later purchased the Kopper Kart Restaurant in 1964. His love of restaurants and people was evident in his many workplaces from the Cockatoo Inn, Lococo's, Del Rae, Kopper Kart and Hungry Tiger establishments. He retired to enjoy his favorite hobby, Thoroughbred Racing and loved a 'Day at the Races'! He engaged himself as a manager of a Hawthorne living complex being more the 'padre' to his tenants, always cooking for anyone at anytime. Frank found love a second time marrying, Jan Lococo and enjoyed their years together dancing, traveling, celebrating with friends, family and the Italian Club. Frank is survived by his two brothers, Phil and John. Four sons, daughters-in-law, Cristin and Sheryl, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. His spirit and fight will always be within us. Services will be celebrated at Holy Cross Cemetery. Rosary and Viewing Thursday, November 3rd at 5:00-8:00pm. Funeral Friday, Nov. 4th at 9:30am.
