October 13, 1924 - February 27, 2016 Frank Foellmer, 91, died of natural causes at Los Alamitos Medical Center on February 27, 2016. Frank was born in Los Angeles on October 13, 1924, to Peter and Emma Foellmer. He was a lifetime resident of Los Angeles County. He is survived by four children: Anne Glass, Sally O'Steen, Margy Gundert, Frank Foellmer Jr, their spouses, as well as his brother, Richard Foellmer. He leaves behind eleven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. Frank received his bachelor's degree from UCLA, later receiving a MBA from Stanford. He is a Navy veteran, serving in the Pacific theater during World War II. He enjoyed a six-decade career as a Chartered Financial Analyst with Quincy Cass Associates, an investment securities firm. He was actively employed at the time of his death, working a fulltime schedule with QCA until the final day of his life. He was a past president of the CFA Institute of L.A. Society of Financial Analysts. Frank proudly served as an Alumni Yell Leader at UCLA football games from 1977 - 2013, one of his most cherished activities. Frank was a beloved friend, colleague, and father, active with family, UCLA Alums, work colleagues and dancing enthusiasts. His social network was broad and robust. His energy and enthusiasm were endless, and a defining characteristic for those who knew him. He will be greatly missed, though his impact on the lives of those who knew and loved him will never be lost.
