Franklin Keith Conner Obituary
December 14, 2016 Franklin Keith Conner, 76, passed away peacefully on December, 14, 2016, in Knoxville, Tennessee, surrounded by family, from complications of pulmonary fibrosis. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed. Franklin was born in North Carolina. He spent his childhood in Virginia and Kentucky before moving to sunny California, living in Pasadena and Newport Beach, before moving to Tennessee in 2016. After earning his accounting degree, he began his 36 year career with the State of California, working for the Board of Equalization. In his free time he loved reading, cooking, target shooting and spending time with family and friends. He was preceded in death by parents, Clarence Conner and Louise Conner; and brother, Clarence Conner, Jr.. Franklin is survived by his loving wife, Nancy, of 53 years; children, Hunter (James) Yankopoulos; Martha (Robert) Allen and three wonderful grandchildren, Wiley Yankopoulos, Blaine Allen and Morgan Allen. He also leaves brother, Thomas Conner; brothers-in-law, Thomas Morgan and Scott (Brenda) Morgan; sister-in-law, Betty Conner; and many nieces. A service celebrating his life will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, January 28th in the Freeman Chapel of Pasadena Presbyterian Church, 585 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena, CA, 91101. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 E. Ohio St., Chicago, IL, 60611. A reception to follow in Gamble Lounge.
