George Charles Levine Obituary
December 18, 1924 - January 20, 2017 Beloved father, and grandfather, George C. Levine will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Survived by his 4 children Debra Werner, Michael Levine, Steven Levine, and Bradley Levine; and, his grandchildren Jana, Ryan, Emily, Natalie, Spencer, Blake, Bryan, and Aiden. George lived a full life of 92 years, and lived his life with the utmost character, kindness, balance, and love. George was born in East New York, a borough of Brooklyn on Dec 18, 1924. He had a happy childhood with many friends; and, as a father and grandfather he loved to share anecdotes with his family about his childhood adventures. George used to take the subway into the city where he paid a nickel to watch a movie, or travel to Coney Island, or Yankee Stadium. He served in the Navy during WWII and following his service, in the early 50's came out to Los Angeles on Route 66. In Los Angeles, he married Joan and raised 4 children. He started a business with his cousin Chuck, and had offices around the world. George loved to spend quality time with his family, read non-fiction and history, listen to music, cook, and give to different charities. He "loved driving trips" and "Cabo". George was truly a special, kind, loving, generous soul. His presence, humor, and kindness will be sorely missed.
