George "Bud" Keiter Obituary
December 17, 1923 - January 24, 2016 The world lost a good one this week, when George E. "Bud" Keiter died after a long fight against Alzheimer's in Los Angeles, CA. Bud grew up in Seattle, WA, the son of Jacob Keiter and Ruth "Dolly" Keiter and brother of Lester Keiter (all deceased), and moved to Los Angeles in 1947, where he met his wife, Constance "Connie" Keiter. Bud wore many hats in his long life: he was a devoted family man, a successful real estate developer, an intrepid businessman, a sailor, a golfer, a baseball player, a poker player, a flirt, a humorist, and an incredible husband, father, and grandfather. Bud is survived by his wife, Connie, as well as children Lee, Kathy, and Kenny, and grandchildren Jeff, Brian, David, Samantha, Kevin, and Karissa, who all will miss him very much, as there's no one around to hide their food when they look away at dinner anymore; he's also survived by three caregivers, Helen, Gigi, and Cynthia, who the family can not thank enough. There will be no formal services; instead the family requests you remember Bud by celebrating his life, which could mean throwing a baseball with your brother, going sailing on the ocean with your wife, or dressing in drag and entering a women's golf tournament with your son. In honor of his memory, donations can be made to Jonsson Cancer Center, Tower Cancer Research Foundation, The , or the .
