George M. Adler Obituary
1919 - 2017 George M. Adler of Marina Del Rey, California, passed away January 25, 2017, at the age of 97. Mr. Adler was born in Youngstown, Ohio. He served in the United States Air Force during the Second World War. After the war he moved to Los Angeles and received his degree in Social Works. He later joined a construction company where he became the Vice President of Manufacturing and Installation of heavy equipment for commercial buildings both in the USA and abroad. Mr. Adler volunteered for various Jewish not-for-profit organizations. He founded a project called ESSEN to provide low cost produce for senior citizens in the Los Angeles area. After he retired he took up fitness as a daily routine and became an avid player of both tennis and golf. He had a love for ballroom dancing and enjoyed listening to jazz, the symphony and the opera. He loved to travel with his companion of 42 years, Elaine Wolf of New York and Florida. Their travels took them all over world meeting friends wherever they visited. Elaine was by his side when he passed away. Mr. Adler touched the hearts of many people in all walks of life in his shy but pleasant gentle way. He shall be missed
