George (Mark) Paskos Obituary
July 27, 1930 - June 17, 2017 You are missed more than you can imagine. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, on July 27th, 1930, Mark died at home in Hollywood, CA, on June 17, 2017, his adoring wife Cynthia by his side. A US Army veteran, he toured Europe with Special Services during the Korean War. Mark was a gifted musician, actor and director. He taught guitar at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He wrote and performed all over the world as a vocalist and guitarist during the '60s and '70s. Mark arrived in Los Angeles in 1977 to pursue an acting career, where he met Cynthia, his life partner of 40 years--they married in 1998. He performed in and directed countless theatrical productions over the next 25 years, and acted in several feature films including "Hook," "The Public Eye," and "Foes." Mark founded and served as Creative Director of The Craft Group Readers' Theatre in North Hollywood for 20 years. He is survived by daughter, Kim Svetly of Framingham, MA, brother Peter Paskos of Fort Bragg, CA, and by countless loving friends. Ashes have been scattered in Pismo Beach, CA, and in Somerville, and his remains will be interred at Forest Lawn Hollywood, together with Cynthia's, at her death.
