George Peterseil Obituary
May 11, 1926 - October 6, 2017 George Peterseil was an exemplary husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and patriot. His life was as illustrious and fruitful as it was long. Born in 1926 in New York City to Moe and Blanche Peterseil, George's formative years were shaped in an environment that ranged from the Great Depression to the 1939 World's Fair. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and served for two years. Soon after, he settled down as a Certified Public Accountant in Los Angeles with his wife Bernice Wolf, and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage. In his later years, George enjoyed spending time with his family, to whom he always advised to stay positive and to trust their instincts in tough situations. He would frequently regale people with stories of his life growing up in the Bronx, time serving the country, and life with his wife and their early exciting years together before and after raising kids. He loved helping people until the very end, and everyone he got to know, strangers and family alike, loved him dearly. George passed away peacefully at age 91 on October 6th. He is survived by his wife Bernice; daughter Sharon (Jeff); son Gary (Maro); grandchildren Jason, Helen, Aaron, and Nora; and sister Sally Solomon. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know him, and his wisdom will never be forgotten.
