December 14, 1932 - October 12, 2016 Gerald "Jerry" Linkin passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by friends and family of heart failure. Jerry was 83 years old. Jerry was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1932 to Sam and Rose Linkin. He graduated from Watertown High School and ventured to California in 1953 where he graduated from UCLA in 1957. He enjoyed a varied career in public relations working with companies such as El Al and Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Jerry went on to form Linkin Communications and provided marketing services for numerous clients. He has been actively involved in the community as a former president of B'nai B'rith and sat on the Board of Governors at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center as well as Friends of Greystone. Jerry was a friend to everyone he met and was the kindest, most loving person. He had an inquisitive mind and the rare ability to make everyone feel they were special; friends, family and strangers alike. Jerry was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara Linkin in 2001. He is survived by his current wife Lynn Klinenberg Linkin; sons Tyler and Darin; daughter-in-law Vicki; grandkids Caitlin and Quintin; sisters Penny and Irma. Extended family Susan and Gary Glick, Ellen and Jeff Charnov, Rick and Ellen Klinenberg, Steve and Ellen Klinenberg and their children, Ryan, Lauren, William, Carly, Brandon, Vanessa, Danielle, David, Jamie and Andrew. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 10am at Hillside Memorial Park. 6001 W. Centinela Ave. LA 90045. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to The Board of Governors Regenerative Medicine Institute or Friends of Greystone.
