Glen was my uncle. I spent a summer with him and the UCLA baseball team when I was very young. Got to hit batting practice where he taught me how to hit a curve ball.He will be missed

Mick, your good friend and former ball player Rick Ganulin informed me of your passing. I have fond memories of you when I played baseball at UCLA. You were definitely one of the "good guys." Friendly, considerate, very comfortable to be with and be mentored by.
Thanks for the positive affect you have had on so many people's lives.
I cannot be there in person for your memorial, however, I will be there in spirit.

WOW! What a guy I never knew!
I started "searching" him for a childhood photo for his "Hall of Fame Page" for his "Our Gang" movie role at Lordheath.com and found myself "hooked"! My best chuckle came when I read from a 1953 blurb about the Dodgers waiting for "22 year-old 'baby faced pitcher' GLENN MICKENS to get out of the Army in May". I wished he had written an autobiography!
If anyone has a photo of the youngster "MICK", please post it here or send it to Lordheath.com.
May a guy who gave so many people so much pleasure and excitement Rest in Peace.

Aloha and farewell my friend. You will be missed. I always enjoyed our long conversations about traffic, bike paths, etc.
Thank you for being a great friend.

" Mick" & I were teammates in '57 with the Angels in the PCL. We were "roomies". A great guy and fun to be around. ALWAYS positive!
