Harold Borden Obituary
May 10, 1921 - November 10, 2015 Born in Poland, he emigrated to the US in 1939, three days before the German invasion. He lived in Midland Texas with his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Eddie Blacher. Following the bombing of Pearl Harbor he enlisted in the US Army Aircorp serving as a radio operator on B-24 bombers and was stationed in North Africa and Southern Italy. He was a resident of Los Angeles County since 1946 where he owned and operated numerous independent groceries stores including the Bel Air Shopeasy Market. Besides being a successful businessman, Harold was a generous philanthropist and a 32nd degree Mason. He enjoyed 65 years of marriage to his loving wife Ruth Borden. He is survived by; his wife, Ruth Borden; children, Mark Borden and Jill Shulman; grandchildren, Samantha Shulman , Thea Shulman, and George Borden; great grandchildren, Frances Borden and Max Borden.
