Harriet Louise Winston Obituary
April 17, 1927 - May 9, 2017 Harriet was the third of five children from the union of Esther & William Weinstein. She was born and raised in East Los Angeles in Boyle Heights. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and later married Ted Winston in 1949. From this union came 4 children. Harriet leaves Hillarie (Keith), Cheryl (Ed), Laurie (John) and Brad (Helene). Harriet was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Harriet's happiest moments were at family gatherings which included birthdays, holidays, pool parties, cruises, camping trips and multiple trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas. Harriet enjoyed the simple pleasures of life watching westerns and sci-fi on TV and loved reading romance novels. She volunteered at Kaiser reading stories to the pediatric patients and also at the Joslyn Center, Senior Center in Burbank. In her younger years she hosted Mahjong parties at her home in Burbank for the women in the neighborhood. Harriet & Ted were married for 67 glorious years. They were both role models for a happy, loving relationship. Harriet will be sorely missed by her loving family who was always there for her until the bitter end.
