Dr.  Henrietta Faguet Albert Obituary
December 1938 - December 2017 Dr. Henrietta Faguet Albert, retired Dean of Students at John F. Kennedy High School in Granada Hills, passed away Tuesday in Los Angeles after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 79. Dr. Albert was born in Panama. Dr. Albert and her family relocated first to San Francisco, and then to San Diego where she spent her formative years. At age 16, Dr. Albert entered UC Berkeley, graduating with a degree in English Literature. After college, Dr. Albert pursued a career in education. Dr. Albert earned her Master's in Multicultural Education from the University of San Francisco and her Doctor of Education from Nova South Eastern University. Dr. Albert loved learning and travel. Dr. Albert valued family, friends, her Jewish heritage and the State of Israel. Dr. Albert was active in the Southern California's Leora Chapter of the Hadassah Women's Zionist Organization of America and served as president. Dr. Albert is survived by her husband, Harry J. Israel, children, Jennifer and Scot Graydon, Jan and Carolyn Perlstein, and granddaughter, Hannah Perlstein. A public memorial service is scheduled on December 28, 2017, at 2:00 pm at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery located at 6001 W. Centinela Avenue, Los Angeles.
