Obituary Condolences

Hetty Goslins passed away peacefully on December 13, 2015 at the age of 99. Born in The Netherlands on August 16, 1916, Hetty and her late husband Herman, survived WW2 and left to come to California in 1953. She, with her husband and family lived in Bellflower for 10 years, where they started a small women's retail clothing chain. Hetty was also very active in Soroptomist and Business and Professional Women, serving as president and Woman of the Year of both organizations, as well as serving long term on the Board of Directors of Little House, a women's shelter. In 1963, the family moved to Downey where Hetty was active in Temple Ner Tamid. As they planned retirement, she and Herman moved to Newport Beach ,Ca. Hetty was the quintessential optimist who embraced life fully. Her home was always open to family and friends. She loved to travel with Herman, with friends and with her family. Deeply loved and respected by all who knew her, Hetty is survived by her 3 daughters; Bertie Levkowitz-Herz (Tom), Rosecarrie Brooks (Alan), Miriam Goslins (David Sitrick). 5 grandchildren: Helene Goodman (Daniel), Howard Levkowitz (Elayne), Lisa Brooks, Alexis Brooks (Brendan Fitzpatrick), Arielle Sitrick, and 4 great grandchildren: Olivia, Jack, Julia and Ella Levkowitz. Services will be held at 2pm, Tuesday December 15, 2015, Mount Sinai Memorial Parks and Mortuaries~ Los Angeles. The family has requested that any donations be made to the ADL.
