February 6, 1930 - August 13, 2015 Howard Gershan was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. The son of Russian-immigrant parents Harry and Reva and brother to younger sister Bette. He attended Walnut Hills High in Cincinnati and L.A. High in California. He attended both UCLA and the University Of Cincinnati and during the Korean War served in the U.S. Army on the Japanese island of Okinawa. He had lots of odd jobs, including selling pots and pans door-to-door and working at his Uncle Sol's liquor store/bar in Chicago, before graduating from Loyola Law School. He and friends Art Lewis and Marty Castillo started their own law firm, and he has appeared before both the California and United States Supreme Courts. He is survived by his two sons, Kevin and Glenn, fiancé RaeLynne Rein, sister Bette Klein, niece Sheryl Polus and nephews Alan Kopp and Michael Brown. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 16th at 9am, at Mount Sinai Hollywood Hills. Reception following at Le Petit Chateau Restaurant, North Hollywood. Contact: [email protected]
