Irving Baum Obituary
February 11, 1926 - November 14, 2016 Irving was 90 and passed away peacefully in his home in Beverly Hills. He was born in Brooklyn, and served during WWII with the 69th Armored Battalion,16th Armored Division. Served in France, Belgium, Germany, and saw combat as a machine gunner abroad the second halftrack liberating the city of Pilsen, Czechoslovakia in 1945. Awarded the Bronze Star, amongst many other medals. He was very proud of his service to his country, as was his family. He moved to Los Angeles in the mid 60's, and became a successful and well respected art dealer, founding Executive Trading Co. He never retired from his work. He frequently traveled back to Europe on his legendary buying trips accompanied by his late wife, Elaine, with children and grandchildren. He is survived by many nieces and nephews, and children Ellyn Laub, (Jeff), Sheri Kessel (Stuart), and Gary Baum (Kelly), grandchildren Heather Laub (Craig Herbert), Cory Laub, Carli Nemany (Steve), Avrah Baum and Anchesa "O" Golbin. Great Grandchildren Cooper and Brody Aucoin, and Eliora and Nathaniel Nemany. Predeceased by wife Elaine Baum and grandson Benjamin (Benny) Goblin. Services wil be Friday Nov. 18th at noon. Hillside Memorial Park, Los Angeles.
